Ce projet présente une réflexion sur un lycée d’enseignement professionnel ne correspondant plus aux exigences contemporaines en matière de fonctionnalités, d’effectifs et de maintenance. Elle est construite autour de quatre points essentiels:

- Traduire la mission pédagogique par l’image d’un édifice institutionnel dédié à
la jeunesse, conjuguant plaisir, sécurité et efficacité. 

- Recomposer un lieu de travail appropriatif pour tous par son échelle et la lisibilité de son organisation. S’agissant d’une restructuration par conservation partielle, les nouveaux éléments adoptent une rigueur de continuité proche de la composition initiale. Le projet s’organise à partir d’un axe structurant, élément de liaison de l’ensemble des composants du lycée. Cette « rue intérieure » distribue et reçoit les différents flux d’échanges et de liaisons. Elle est le lieu fédérateur de la nouvelle organisation.

- Réaliser un ensemble tirant parti de la qualité paysagère exceptionnelle du site et des potentialités d'espace induites par les bâtiments conservés restructurés. L'organisation privilégie l'orientation sur la cour et les vues vers les masses paysagères qui constituent la grande qualité du lieu. La végétation existante est conservée et confortée par la création d'un dispositif paysagé de noues de récupération des eaux pluviales.

- Établir un ensemble homogène dans lequel les bâtiments préexistants et les constructions neuves se composent harmonieusement. L'usage d'un langage architectural de vêtures tantôt en terre-cuite de deux nuances, tantôt métallique établit cette harmonie et identifie les programmes.

This project presents a reflection on a vocational high school that no longer meets the contemporary requirements for functionalities, headcount and maintenance. It is built around four essential points:

- To translate the educational mission by the image of an institutional building dedicated to youth, combining pleasure, safety and efficiency.

- To redesign a workplace which is appropriate for everyone by its scale and the legibility of its organisation. In the case of a restructuration with partial preservation, the new elements adopt a rigour of continuity close to the initial composition. The project is organised from a structuring axis, a connecting element for all the components of the school. This “inner street” distributes and receives the various flows of exchanges and connections. It is the unifying place of the new organisation.

- To realize a whole taking advantage of the exceptional landscape quality of the site and the potentialities of spaces induced by the restructured and preserved buildings. The organization favours the orientation on the courtyard and views towards the landscape masses which constitute the high quality of the place. The existing vegetation is conserved and supported by the creation of a landscaped system of rainwater swales.

- Establish a homogenous whole in which the existing buildings and the new constructions are harmoniously composed. The use of on architectural language of cladding sometimes terracotta of two shades, sometimes metal, establishes this harmony and identifies the specific programs.
