Conçu sur un parti de différenciation du statut des façades basé sur la prise en compte de l’ensoleillement, la construction propose deux aspects.

Orientée au Sud, la façade vers l’espace public met en évidence les débords des dalles du R+1 et du R+3. Cette solution architecturale permet d’exprimer des registres simples distinguant entre le « socle » habillé de bois au rez-de-chaussée et le « couronnement » de l’attique panoramique du R+3, une partie courante rythmée de potelets supportant des pare-soleils en bois.

Orientée au Nord, la façade arrière côté parking, propose un contrepoint de neutralité qui s’exprime par un léger encorbellement permettant de surligner le rez-de-chaussée habillé de bois et par une vêture de panneaux de fibrociment gris sur les trois niveaux supérieurs.

Cette conception, basée sur l’expression affirmée des principes HQE, accompagne la logique urbaine de cette nouvelle ZAC dont l’opération, située à l’intersection avec l’accès en provenance du centre-ville d’Arras, propose l’image vitrine d’un certain parti pris de modernité.

Planned on the differentiation of the facades’ condition, based on the inclusion of sunshine, the construction
suggests two aspects.

Facing south, the façade towards the public area brings to light the slabs overflows from the first and third storeys. This architectural solution allows to express simple registers distinguishing between the wooden “base” on the ground floor and the “culmination” of the panoramic attic on the 3rd floor, a common rhythmic part of posts supporting wooden sunshades.

Oriented north, the rear façade on the parking side, offers a counterpoint of neutrality which expresses itself through a slight cantilever allowing the highlight of the wooden ground floor and a cladding of grey fibro-cement panels on the three upper levels.

This conception, based on the expression of the HEQ principals for “Green Building”, accompanies the urban logic of this new joint development zone whose activity, located at the intersection with the access from the city centre of Arras, proposes the showcase image of a certain bias of modernity.
