Étalée sur un terrain très profond, la composition du lycée souffre d’une dilution de programmes juxtaposés peu lisibles. Le projet hiérarchise les accès par la création d’un parvis progressif et en pente douce et continue, entre le rond-point d’entrée et la cour de récréation. Cette réorganisation des flux et des espaces extérieurs établit l’identification des différents accès et la progression par des espaces de transition entre l’espace public et le cœur unificateur du lycée.

Cette requalification fonctionnelle et environnementale permet également, par les différentes interventions qui la composent de, redonner « une nouvelle image au lycée » basée sur l’usage du bois dont l’assemblage en résilles ajourées fait changer son aspect en fonction de l’intensité et de l’orientation de la lumière.

Spread out on a very deep ground, the high school’s composition suffers from a dilution of not so readable juxtaposed programs. The project prioritises accesses by creating a gradual forecourt and as a gentle and ongoing slope, between the entry roundabout and the courtyard. This reorganisation of flows and external spaces establishes the identification of different accesses and the progression through transitional spaces between the public area and the unifying heart of the school.

This functional and environmental requalification also allows, through the various interventions which compound it, to reinvigorate the “school’s new image” based on the use of wood whose assembly in openwork mesh changes its appearance depending on the intensity and orientation of the light.
