Le projet s’appuie largement sur le fonctionnement existant des terrains d’expérimentation du CEFE et en prolonge la logique en faisant le choix d’une compacité limitant la consommation foncière. Dans cette approche, la lisibilité des usages passe par une traduction architecturale forte et éco-responsable à travers l’emploi de matériaux naturels identitaires et aux inerties thermiques adaptées : duverre pour les serres, du bois pour les locaux techniques, du béton pour l’espace COV et de la pierre massive pour le plateau d’expérimentation. Tous ces volumes sont réunis par la grande couverture bois qui accueille le visiteur dès le parvis, l’accompagne dans la circulation centrale en venant couvrir la grande halle logistique et l’abri technique. Au-delà de la justification de l’empreinte bioclimatique et du confort d’usage associé, ce choix procède également d’une volonté statutaire associant l’image de l’institution à l’authenticité et la noblesse de matériaux locaux.

 

The project relies heavily on the existing operation of CEFE experimental sites and extends its logic by making the choice of a certain density limiting land consumption. With this approach, the legibility of the consumption goes through a strong and eco-responsible architectural translation through the use of identity natural materials and adapted thermal inertia: glass for the greenhouses, wood for the technical premises, concrete for the VOC space and massive stone for the experimental plateau. All of these volumes are gathered by the big wooden cover which greets the visitor from the beginning of the parvis and through the central circulation by including the covered market and technical shelters. Beyond the justification for the bioclimatic footprint and associated comfort use, this choice is also the result of a statutory commitment associating the image of the institution with the authenticity and nobility of local materials.
