« Shared spaces… »

“The buildings of shared means ‘A department’ accompanies and shapes an open route from the public space to the heart of the campus, it is a window, a gate. The urban façade on the Eugène Bataillon square displays a mashrabiya, protection against the sun for the education premises which exposes, through a game of perforations in binary language responding to the work of Alain jacquet, the name of famous scientists”.

“The hall stretches along the entrance path and open to the inside of the campus to the student life. Upstairs, a large and comfortable terrace plunging over the central garden, offers a work and exchange space to the university community.  Through the windows of the upper floors, the inscription “Science village” applies to the whole campus, the red colour echoes once again the realisation of Alain jacquet, landmark in the city…”

“The lobby, friendly place, offers spaces for relaxation and work, indirect contact with the entrance path that it borders, it is to become a major space of the campus and student life. “

“As the tiers hall, the terrace, informal work area, dedicated to nomadic students equipped with their laptop computer will easily reach the virtual world (thanks to the self-service  Wi-Fi routers).”

The biology-economy building (department D) reinterprets the geography composed of covered galleries of Egger mass plan, but in a vertical stratification. The different levels widened by their lateral passageways are superimposed as so much of ground floor and are connected to each other by vast staircases which constitute a continuous path. Sliding occurs between the strata, as influenced by the major presence of the Shared Means building (department A), punctuating the entrance of the Campus.
